Savino Del Bene is a Global Freight Forwarding Company headquartered in Florence, Italy. With more than 295 offices and 5,500 employees globally, Savino Del Bene is one of the leading logistics company that offers import, export, customs brokerage services and warehousing third party solutions servicing several Vertical Markets. We are currently looking for a Branch Manager to lead our growing Los Angeles branch. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Branch Manager who is looking for a new challenge with a growing, stable Company. A background in the Freight Forwarding Industry is required. This role reports directly to the C-Suite in our Corporate Headquarters with a dotted line to the VP West Coast Operations. This position will sit in Carson, CA.

Essential Job Functions

  • Must have commercial growth experience.
  • Must have experience growing & motivating a team.
  • Ensure that operations staff have the tools they need to perform their jobs satisfactorily, including approved plans, a detailed budget, etc.
  • Personally ensure that operations, brokerage and sales staff are working towards clearly stated goals and objectives.
  • Continually take the pulse of clients through informal telephone conversations, lunch meetings, industry events and formal customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Select, develop, mentor, coach and build a strong functioning team of operations, sales, brokerage.
  • Ensure a quick and proper response to all customer requests.
  • Must be able to help resolve conflicting issues and reinforce continuously respectful communication between all departments.
  • Manage all financial aspects of Branch and collaborate with Corporate HQ to ensure proper execution.
  • Build strong relationships with other Branches, foreign Branches, etc.
  • Responsible for executing corporate goals and developing a strong footprint in the Los Angeles region with a high focus in the first few years of building new business.
  • Responsible for overall performance of entire Branch.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • This is not a remote role, must be able to work on-site.

Qualifications Needed

  • Minimum 5+ years in similar role is required with proven results.
  • Must come from a Freight forwarding background
  • Must be well versed with the Los Angeles region.
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred.
  • Financial Management.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills.
  • Must be able to foster an environment of trust & productivity.
  • Must have a strong understanding of different roles in the Branch in order to properly support staff.

  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Customer/Client Focus.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work well with other cultures, foreign countries and have a strong understanding of global business.
