Savino Del Bene is currently seeking a Crosstrade Operations Coordinator to join our Global Customer Solutions Team.

Role Objectives:

The role will manage and coordinate the team responsible for cross-trade, foreign-to-foreign, and triangular shipments. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of international logistics, and the ability to handle complex shipping arrangements involving different modes of transport (ocean, air, truck, rail…). The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and smooth handling of cross-trade operations, providing exceptional service to our clients and maintaining strong relationships with our branches globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Multimodal Shipping Coordination (Control Tower): Plan, coordinate, and monitor cross-trade shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

• Client Communication: Serve as clients' primary point of contact regarding cross-trade shipments, providing updates and addressing any inquiries or issues.

Documentation Management: Provide Operational SOPs guidelines for preparing and reviewing all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all cross-trade activities comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.

Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the shipping process, ensuring minimal impact on delivery timelines.

Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze shipment performance, providing reports and recommendations for improvements.

Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with cross-trade shipments, ensuring profitability and efficiency.

Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other internal stakeholders to enhance service quality and business growth.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

• Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on cross-border trade and operations.

• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Effective communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex and high-pressure situations.
