Wilson Elser is currently seeking a Cyber Class Action Litigation Attorney. This position has opportunity to be fully remote.

The Position

Qualifications

• 5+ years of complex litigation experience in State and Federal Courts
• Class Action litigation experience a plus
• Cybersecurity and Data Privacy background a plus
• Excellent research and writing skills, including drafting briefs and dispositive motions
• Experience managing large-scale E-Discovery
• Experience defending in data breach, BIPA, VPPA class actions preferred but not required
• Knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
• Member of federal trial bar preferred but not required
• Highly organized and able to meet deadlines in multiple cases
• Team player who can work both independently and manage junior attorneys
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist with defense of privacy lawsuits and data breach class actions filed in state and federal courts nationwide
• Incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents
• Analysis of state, federal, and international privacy laws
• Drafting legal notices of a data breach to individuals and regulators
• Responding to regulatory investigations arising out of a data breach
• Defending privacy lawsuits
• Preparing and responding to written discovery, taking, and defending depositions, and working with expert witnesses
• Drafting privacy and security policies and procedures pursuant to HIPAA, BIPA, VPPA, and other statutes
